The objectives behind organisation of Housing Cooperative Societies is to provide housing loans and developed house sites and constructed housing units to the members of the low and middle income group.         OCHC is the Apex organisation.The OCHC borrows funds from L.I.C.  of India and provide loans to ultimate borrowers through the Primary House Building Cooperative Societies.

There are 107 Primary House Building Cooperatives in the Housing Sector. The loans from the OCHC are provided to the ultimate borrowers through the Primary  H.B.C.S .
